A Life Shaped by Faith
Rick Hicks was raised in a minister’s home, where faith in Jesus Christ became part of his life at an early age. But faith did not shelter him from difficult questions. The loss of his mother as a teenager began a lifelong journey of discovering what it means to trust God when life does not make sense.
Through the years, Rick has experienced both the joys and struggles of family, church and ministry, serious illness, a liver transplant, grief, and unexpected new beginnings. Through each season, God continued to teach him that questions and struggles do not have to separate us from Him—they can lead us into a deeper and more personal faith.
Today, Rick is an author and Bible teacher who continues to serve in his local church and through Rick Hicks Ministries. His writing and teaching grow out of what God has taught him along the journey, with one desire: to point others toward Jesus Christ and encourage them to trust Him through every season of life.
